4.0 Desktop Game Installation and Launching

The Gala Games platform supports integration of traditional Desktop OS-installed games via the Gala Launcher. The Gala Launcher is a locally installed service that listens for “launch requests” from the Gala Platform website. A game developer on the Gala Games platform has two primary responsibilities when integrating with the Gala Launcher:

• Providing game installation metadata
• Handling a game launch
